City Bus
Life against life
Wall against wall
So be the city bus within
To the walls blend the people
To the walls talk the people
How one with each doth blend
How be we so close
yet buildeth our walls
thick and hard and enduring
that be us so close
we be so far apart
Inches become miles
Seconds become hours
Standing, tired, aggravated
Be us each objects?
For so doth each treateth the other
be it flesh, be it metal
On the bus rideth both
And both doth blend
And so my crystal-eyed lover
by your side am I placed
Standing, our hands so close
And as if I had gazed into
the eyes of medusa
To such form am I transformed
