Gray Awakening
Gray Awakening
Gray winter skies me embraceth
Reflecteth upon the sea
Be all above and below
A perfect mirror to my essence
Thine vibrations be mine
In synchrony be our minds
To all there is a season
On this day be me hollow
Dark with gloom and sorrow
To thee I turn for mine escape
Yet in thee today I see my reflection
How can we support each other?
How does a reflected image change the picture?
Yet the waves still crash upon the shore
thine surf ever constant
Thine winds touch my face
present still despite the sky
Salty mist fills the air still
the constancy of life behind the picture
Despite thine appearance
me thinks nothing changes
The sun still shines above the clouds
The Moon still circles the Earth
The tides still change
The winds still blow
’Tis here where the reflected image changes
All is not what it seems
My friend and lover
my confidant
my healer
my patient
It was always there
Why look further than my own backyard?
nature heals all
whatever its daily face
