Nature's Throne
Nature’s Throne
And now do I leave this throne
Thy chill bids me depart
To you dried weed I bid farewell.
And to you, oh rock, who teacheth well
Be thou my throne from which I depart
But what sadness be this leave
Who knows when I shall return?
And when I return will you still be there?
Will I recognize you again?
Will you recognize me?
I have no fear
Yet I know well our eyes shall never
again meet
Yet with these words and memories our essence
is intertwined.
Thou hath seen my being
I have seen your light.
Be this page one in our story
For now we realize our oneness
Though oneness always was
For ’tis from thou, oh rock, that I have
Learned eternity
How could you have gone unrecognized?
And why seeth I no loneliness or sadness
in thou?
Alone upon this mount
but thou art part of mount
the setting sun, yes ’tis here
Now so do I see
Thou teacheth well
Be thou as magnificent as I
